T-90M Obr. 2017 is a heavily modernized variant of the Russian T-90 main battle tank featuring comprehensive upgrades to armor, firepower, and electronics. The tank incorporates the new Relikt explosive reactive armor system, improved fire control systems, and enhanced crew protection. Key improvements include a more powerful engine, upgraded transmission, better thermal imaging systems, and modernized communications equipment. The 125mm 2A46M-5 smoothbore gun maintains compatibility with various ammunition types including guided missiles. This variant represents the current standard configuration of the T-90M for the Russian Armed Forces.
