Description

BTR-MDM Rakushka is a Russian airborne armored personnel carrier based on the BMD-4M chassis, designed to replace the aging BTR-D in airborne operations. The vehicle features a powerful 500-horsepower UTD-29 diesel engine providing exceptional mobility with speeds up to 70 km/h on roads. It can transport up to 13 personnel plus a crew of two, combining high payload capacity with air-droppable capability. The BTR-MDM maintains full amphibious capability and shares components with modern Russian airborne vehicles including improved transmission and reinforced suspension systems. Recent upgrades include enhanced anti-drone capabilities, making it suitable for contemporary battlefield requirements.
