Description

A-222 Bereg is a Russian 130mm self-propelled coastal artillery system designed to defend naval bases and coastal installations against surface vessels. Built on the MAZ-543M 8x8 wheeled chassis, the system features the AK-130 naval gun adapted for land-based operations with the same ballistics and ammunition as its shipboard counterpart. The gun turret is mounted facing forward but fires over the rear arc, providing excellent mobility and tactical flexibility. The Bereg system can engage maritime targets at ranges up to 22 kilometers and includes advanced radar and electro-optical targeting systems for autonomous target detection and tracking.
